As a growing small business, we leverage Instagram for so many things. It’s visual, it’s inspiring and as social continues to be a driver in business, it’s a growth tool. Here are three ways that we’re using Instagram in our day-to-day lives.
- Inspiration. The quality of Instagram images is out of this world. I could get lost among the stunning images, quotes and designs in our feed. I am constantly amazed at the beauty and creation of others. It sets a high bar to always be producing beautiful content, but the outcome means great images, ideas and inspiration, and for that, we're grateful!
- Meeting Makers. This is a by-product of the constant beauty in our feed. I’ve taken to searching Instagram when I’m looking for something specific or trying to find unique resources. One of the harder parts of interior design can be finding interesting pieces or vendors that aren’t already being over sourced. As a small business, it’s also important to me to find others who are working on building a business and doing it well. Instagram is a great way to identify these guys and keep tabs for the perfect collaboration opportunity.
- Sharing our Story. We love to share not only pictures of our finished designs, but the process and inspiration we find along the way. The design process can be very long, so it’s important for us to share things that also inspire us in the design world. As our Instagram has evolved, I’ve used the admiration I have of others to make sure our content is as beneficial to the insta-community as possible, and also true to who we are as a company. Our motto is Dream, Create, Design and we’re constantly fine-tuning our feed to indicate that.
How else are you using Instagram—besides ogling the envy-worthy images?
