We're excited to be kicking off three projects this month, that we'll be documenting along the way. It's always fun to see the finished product, but there's SO much more to a project, so we're taking you along with us as we document various stages of these projects over the next few months.
What was previously a outdoor porch, was turned into an enclosed sun room of sorts. It's as awkward as it looks in pictures, and the plan is for it to become level with the rest of the house and become a more functional room.
So without further ado, we're introducing The Jupiter Bungalow. This is by far the largest of the three kicking off this month, and will take us several months to complete. It's a three bedroom, two and a half bathroom home, located in a sweet, quiet neighborhood in Jupiter, FL. It's all one story (no grand staircase here!), but there is amazing potential for a grand and open floor plan and master suite. When all is said and done, we'll also be adding a fourth den/bedroom, a pool and a laundry room.
The existing master bathroom, which will be getting a massive transformation.
What good is a massive walk-in shower with only one tiny shower head? We don't know either!
We kicked off the project with a whirlwind of walk throughs, brainstorms, design meetings and contractor meetings while on site a few weeks ago. Since then, we've been working on developing detailed drawings for our contractors. While they work on their bids, we'll be busy specifying every single thing. From trim to the bathroom tiles to the door hardware and more!
While that little pass through is cute, we're trading it in for an open kitchen and a massive island.
That pink tile is charming, but it's worn out it's welcome. We've got big plans for this guest bathroom.
Follow along as we renovate this sweet little home. We'll be posting progress updates under the tag Jupiter Bungalow here, and on Instagram, just look for #jupiterbungalow. PS. If you have a Florida project for us (or anywhere south for that matter), we're ALWAYS happy to kick those off in January ;)
Just some preliminary hole poking to see how high we can raise the ceiling. You're also looking at what we hope to make the new entrance!
I love me some wallpaper, but this might be pushing it. You know we have some amazing and dramatic ideas for this tiny bath!
