After nearly 8 years of city living (12 if we're counting the 4 spent in Boston - way longer for my husband), we're making a hard push toward our next housing move. It's a thing we've talked about for several years already, but I spent many of those years convinced I couldn't leave the city. I'm still on the fence about how I'll feel when the day comes, but after the last year and a half, moving out of the city feels like the best and most responsible decision for us.

I sometimes wonder if I’ll be this acutely aware around the due date of our second baby, or if I feel this one more strongly because it was the first one. There are few places quite like the South of France. We took a break earlier this summer to do a bit of traveling in the small town of Uzés, located in Provence. There's something to be said for the very distinctly European way of life. A bit of a slower pace, endless cafes and market days are all things we can get behind.
