When you live in NYC, closets are the things dreams are made of. I'm not talking about amazing walk-in closets, I'm talking about any space with a door that you can count as storage. So imagine our sheer delight when we were tasked with outfitting an entire room with storage to serve as a master walk-in closet. We've been dreaming about closets our entire NYC lives, we were made for this. And the only thing better than designing this closet? Styling it! Can we live here?

If you're forced to do laundry, the very least you can ask for is that you get to do it in a well-designed space. Well this client is getting just that wish. Previously, the room was all about function, but lacked any design or charm. We added a herringbone floor pattern, walnut countertops, beautiful lights and some shiplap to make it as beautiful as it is functional. The pull down ironing board and fold-in, hidden drying racks are just icing on the cake.  

Few things makes us feel more calm than this clean and sophisticated pied-a-terre. Despite it's very streamlined nature, it's not devoid of color or pattern. Instead, we used rich colors, fabrics and materials to create personality and depth against an airy backdrop. The result? It's a cross between walking into your favorite hotel room and your ideal apartment - bright, inviting and completely clutter-free. What could be more beautiful than that!

We love working with repeat clients, but when heavy construction is involved, it happens less frequently. After all, it's not everyday that clients are up for a gut renovation. So imagine our surprise when one of our favorite NYC couples contacted us just a mere nine months after we completed a kitchen and bathroom renovation in their apartment! They were ready to take on a new apartment that needed a complete overhaul to accommodate their growing family.
