We were on site down at the Jupiter Bungalow earlier this week, and are excited about things finally coming together. Most of the tile has arrived, the garage is full of lights and plumbing fixtures and everything is starting to take form! So it only makes sense to finally give you a peek into the designs that we put together for some of the rooms. We finalized all three bathrooms, so today we’re sharing those with you here today.
The master bathroom is always the most precious gem to design in my opinion. It tends to have the most impact on the homeowner's lives. Most of the time, people tend to design their bedroom and bathroom last, or as an after thought, which usually means they don't end up with a room they love. There is nothing better than giving homeowners a sanctuary, and that's exactly what we tried to do here. We pair a white floor, with a gray vanity and then a mosaic shower, which will be surrounded by glass. We do a lot of gray and white marble in bathrooms, but it's hard to go wrong with that pick. If it's not broken...
This guest room has been coming to life in my head for a long time. It started with this larger scale basketweave tile pattern and ended with a lighter wood vanity, so it's fun to really see it finally come together. As a guest bathroom (or potential kid's bath) I didn't want this room to be stuffy. Instead, it has some subtle nods to the coastal nature of the house, but still an overall casual feel. That smaller basketweave on the top right? That will be used for a niche that will span the entire shower wall. So excited for that!
And finally, the powder room has a somewhat sophisticated vibe to it. We paired a simple pedestal sink with two polished wall sconces. The floor will have a beautiful stone-outlined herringbone pattern. The tile edging has a slight blue hue to it, so the walls will be covered in a light sea mist blue grasscloth. This project started with inspiration from that grasscloth, so I'm glad we found the perfect place for it.
Next week I'll share the design of the kitchen and the laundry room, which is getting finalized as we speak!
